About the Opportunity

SSI is hiring for a Software Developer to join a 3D-modeling focused team. The role involves maintaining code and implementing features for a large legacy codebase built on AutoCAD. The team focuses on the 3D modeling and management of various items related to shipbuilding, such as HVAC ducting, piping, and equipment.

The applicant should be comfortable with C# and C++ development, linear algebra and graph theory concepts, and relational database development. Infrastructure skills using Azure DevOps or similar are highly valued. The successful candidate is able to manage complex object relationships and algorithms and has a strong mathematical background.

Duties and Responsibilities:

What we look for:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience with C# or other modern object-oriented language
• Ability to work and collaborate with an Agile team
• Creative problem solving skills
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in the Visual Studio development environment
• SQL Server or other relational database experience
• Windows desktop application development in C++
• Experience with WPF and MVVM
• Experience working with git and Azure DevOps
• Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software
  

Requirements:
