Product Operations Assistant
AI Summary
Supports the Product Innovation team by reviewing and maintaining policy wordings, conducting research on emerging industries, coordinating product development workstreams, and preparing written summaries and documentation.
About this role
WHO WE ARE:
Relm is a specialty insurer built for businesses shaping the future.
We work with companies operating across digital assets and Web3, AI, space, fintech, biotech and other emerging industries where traditional insurance markets can struggle to keep pace.
With teams across London, New York, Dubai, Miami and Bermuda, we combine specialist underwriting expertise with curiosity, creativity and a willingness to understand risks others may not.
We’re looking for a highly organised, curious and detail-focused Product Operations Assistant to join Relm’s Product Innovation team.
This is an early-career opportunity for someone who enjoys research, writing, working with detailed documents and keeping projects organised.
You’ll support the Product Innovation team across product wordings, market research, documentation and day-to-day coordination, helping ensure product workstreams stay organised and move forward.
This role would suit someone with strong written skills and a genuine interest in how insurance products are developed. You might have studied Law, History, English, Politics, Economics or another research or writing-focused subject, or have early experience within insurance, legal, research, administration or financial services.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-
Support the review, organisation and maintenance of policy wordings, endorsements and product documentation.
-
Carry out research across emerging industries, competitors and insurance products.
-
Prepare clear written summaries and research notes for the Product Innovation team.
-
Maintain Relm’s Product Library and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
-
Coordinate product development workstreams, actions, deadlines and follow-ups.
-
Support meetings, agendas, notes and stakeholder actions.
-
Assist with the preparation and proofreading of presentations and internal materials.
-
Work closely with Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Marketing and Distribution to gather information and keep projects moving.
-
Support new product launches and ensure relevant documentation and internal processes are completed.
-
Provide proactive day-to-day coordination across the Product Innovation team.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
-
Strong written communication and research skills.
-
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing written documents.
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
-
Confidence working with detailed information and turning it into clear, well-structured outputs.
-
A degree or background in Law, History, English, Politics, Economics or another research or writing-focused discipline would be advantageous.
-
Some early experience within insurance, legal, research, administration, professional services or financial services would be beneficial.
-
Confidence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
-
A proactive, dependable approach and willingness to take ownership.
-
A genuine interest in building a career within insurance and product development.
You do not need previous insurance product experience. We’re looking for someone with strong coordination skills, excellent written ability, curiosity and the willingness to learn.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US:
Relm is a team of innovators redefining what’s possible in insurance.
You’ll work in an environment that encourages curiosity, ownership and new ideas, with the opportunity to help shape products, markets and ways of working rather than simply inherit them.
We invest in our people and give them the support, tools and development they need to do their best work and continue growing with the business.
