[About the role]
We are looking for a Product Ops role to support the end-to-end delivery, adoption and operation of iWORK products by partnering business stakeholders to define requirements and shape solutions, coordinating internal and external delivery teams, and leading test planning and execution. The role manages post-delivery support, incidents, risks and stakeholder change, while using data, user feedback and operational insights to improve product performance, adoption and ways of working. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, Product Ops addresses complex operational challenges and establishes effective practices across the product lifecycle
[What you will be working on]
The Product Ops Specialist at GovTech plays a crucial role in optimising product development processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality digital government services. This role supports product teams by streamlining operations, managing tools, and facilitating communication to accelerate product impact.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Optimisation: Identify, analyse, and improve product development workflows, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness across various product teams.
- Tool Administration & Management: Evaluate, implement, and manage product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, roadmap software) and ensure their optimal utilisation by product teams.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyse, and report on key product metrics, operational performance, and user feedback to inform product strategy and operational improvements.
- Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, best practices, and playbooks for product development processes and tools.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact for product operations, facilitating communication and collaboration between product managers, engineering, design, marketing, and other stakeholders.
- Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to product teams on new processes, tools, and best practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present operational updates and recommendations to various internal stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential operational bottlenecks or risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in product operations, project management, business analysis, or a similar role within a technology-focused environment.
- Proven experience with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in the public sector or government technology projects is a plus
What it is like working here:
- Rapid Prototyping - Instead of spending too much time debating ideas we prefer testing them. This identifies potential problems quickly, and more importantly, conveys what is possible to others easily.
- Ownership - In addition to technical responsibilities, this means having opinions on what is being done and having ideas on what should be done next. Building something that you believe in is the best way to build something good.
- Continuous Learning - Working on new ideas often means not fully understanding what you are working on. Taking time to learn new architecture, frameworks, technologies, and even languages is not just encouraged but essential.
What we offer you:
