Production foreman

About the Role

BYD THAILAND is looking for an experienced Production Foreman to join our manufacturing team at WHA Rayong 36 Industrial Estate, Rayong. In this role, you will lead daily shift operations, supervise line operators, ensure strict adherence to SOPs and safety standards, manage workforce scheduling, and drive quality improvement and cost reduction across vehicle assembly lines.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure line operators strictly comply with Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to prevent defects and assembly errors.

• Respond promptly to production abnormalities, allocate manpower effectively, and escalate major issues when necessary.

• Arrange and execute temporary or urgent production tasks efficiently.

• Conduct regular quality review meetings to drive continuous improvement and enhance output quality.

• Champion 5S workplace organization and foster a strong safety culture on the shop floor.

• Monitor and control material, tool, and energy consumption to effectively reduce production costs.

• Perform routine shop-floor inspections to ensure safety across personnel, machinery, and materials.

• Coordinate with the maintenance team for equipment lubrication, preventive maintenance (PM), and routine servicing.

• Manage staff attendance, shift schedules, and line balancing to maintain stable production output.

• Maintain accurate production reports and shift logs.

• Conduct staff training covering Safety, 5S, Cost Awareness, Quality Protection, and Work Skills.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or a related management field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (Automotive industry experience is highly preferred).

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mold engineering, tooling, or automotive manufacturing.

• Solid knowledge of automotive maintenance, electrical system operations, and control principles.

• Strong self-learning ability with enthusiasm to adopt new automotive maintenance technologies.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and production-related documentation.

• Ability to operate basic mechanical tools and equipment for process improvement.
