Production Manager - night shift

Automotive parts maker needs a Production Manager to run its third shift. This position requires recent experience working in an automotive parts manufacturing shop. Your primary goals will be to improve safety, delivery, cost, and quality. The hours are 10:30 pm to 7 am.

• With safety first in mind, you will lead continuous improvement, following the principles of the Toyota Production System.
• Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction, reduction in customer complaints, and reporting of non-conformances.
• Evaluate and improve manpower layout, 5-S standardization, and organization layout.
• Work with maintenance to improve machine uptime.
• Provide data driven analyses of manufacturing problems.
• This position will require some travel.

## Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Business, or related major
• Must have recent experience as a Production Manager in an automotive parts making environment.
• Must have at least three years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience in driving quality, cost, delivery times, and safety improvements.
• Must be committed to the use of metrics to understand production trends and weak points.
