Production Technician

JOB BRIEF

The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting industrial computers, electronic components, and related products to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications. This role works closely with Quality Assurance and Production Support to resolve equipment issues, maintain an organized work area, and follow established production procedures.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

To ensure industrial computer products and electronic components are assembled, tested, and inspected accurately and efficiently while meeting quality standards, product specifications, and company procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs assembly and testing of single board computers, embedded PC’s, panel PC’s, industrial chassis and workstations, PC140 modules and data acquisition products as assigned by production supervisor.
• Confers with quality assurance personnel in proper and efficient way of integration of industrial PC components.
• Confers with production support technician in resolving problems relating to proper operation of equipment under test.
• Examines parts and accessories for conformance with specification. Alerts quality assurance personnel when necessary.
• Maintains tools and equipment in assigned work area.
• Must adhere to Quality Management System.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

• High school or Associates of Science (A.S.) degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science is plus.
• One to two years related industrial PC’s and controls systems assemble experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals and technical diagrams and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, fellow employees and customers.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
• Ability to lift at least 50lb merchandize.
