• Work with complex excel spreadsheets to track and report project financials.
• Work proactively with project personnel to ensure charging is correct and within budget constraints.
• Maintain communication through development of status reports, preparation of project review materials, opening action items and tracking them to closure.
• Develop invoices and providing detailed data regarding charging.
• Track project metrics to assess work completion and confirm EAC estimates from engineering.
• Develop cost proposals based in engineering estimates.
• Set up WBS structures for projects and monitoring progress to budget.
• Assist with project management plan development, submission, tracking and archival for projects.
• Act as a SharePoint owner including site content, training, and permission control.
• Provide project administration assistance to Project Managers for ongoing projects.
• Support the software development lifecycle including development documentation and milestone review coordination.
• Coordinate with corporate support functions (finance, HR, purchasing, billing, A/P), analyzing financial charges, etc.
• Prepare quotations for purchasing equipment, software, etc. Assist with vendor activities including purchase order generation, invoice approval and closeout activities.
• Support the Project Management Organization (PMO) as requested. This may entail tracking new business and change orders, creating resource reports, user group conferences and ad hoc activities as requested.
Qualifications
• Experience in financial analysis.
• Experience in project controlling or associate PM.
• Experience handling coordination with large project teams and coordination with support organizations.
• Experience in budgeting projects.
• Ability to develop, obtain, and graph project metrics.
• Strong analytical skills.
• MS Project and experience scheduling is a plus.
• Needs to be experienced with Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc). Visual Basic a bonus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics or equivalent years of experience in project control, configuration controller, and/or related job function. Specialization in finance a bonus.
