JOB PURPOSE

Based on the activities assigned by his/her hierarchical superiors, the project engineer supports the sales teams and is responsible for the design, pre-installation supervision and procurement of projects.
He/she supports the operational teams in charge of commissioning equipment on the customer's site.

Job Description

SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES Sales support - Support sales teams (technical offers, costing, etc.) - Maintain a technical and competitive watch (suppliers, technologies, markets, customers, etc.) - Participate in the selection of external service providers (deadlines, prices, technical feasibility, etc.), in collaboration with stakeholders (sales teams, purchasing, etc.) - Study contract documents (CCTP) and customer requirements in conjunction with sales teams - Analyze requirements for each project in terms of technical, functional and deadline criteria - Design and participate in the pre-sizing of solutions (equipment and installation configurations, pre-studies and technical definitions, drawings, installation dimensioning) - Formalize technical requests to suppliers and cost the selected solutions in collaboration with the sales teams - Monitor assembly work and ensure conformity of equipment and accessories before shipment, in collaboration with internal stakeholders - Create, manage and update document databases, customer documents and work directories Project management - Define and transmit the documentation required for the project and ensure documentary follow-up - Actively participate in project launches in collaboration with stakeholders (kick- off meetings, etc.) - Define plan and ensure of supply of materials and components required for the project - Manage service providers in collaboration with internal stakeholders - Manage the project (progress, monitoring indicators, stakeholder coordination, etc.) and take corrective action where necessary, in collaboration with stakeholders - Manage customer relations during the implementation phase and provide technical support - Organize and plan equipment tests (recipes, etc.), in collaboration with stakeholders - Prepare technical documentation and provide reporting elements in order to project invoicing - Mobilize and animate internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project management - Participate in end-of-project meetings (feedback, etc.) - Ensure financial monitoring of the business (budget consumed, actual costs, etc.) and alert management in the event of any deviation RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE FOR ACTION - Ensure project compliance, quality and deadlines - Ensure project profitability (margins, etc.) - Guarantees the follow-up and budgetary compliance of projects within its scope - Knows and applies internal and external compliance procedures and rules PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE DIPLOMA(S) AND/OR EXPERIENCE(S) 5 years' higher education in a technical field and/or 5 years' experience preferred significant experience desired SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE(S) Business skills - General knowledge of project management - General commercial knowledge (customer relations, negotiation, etc.) - General product knowledge (ranges, functions, etc.) - Professional technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, etc.) - General knowledge of IT tools and information systems - Intermediate level of English (B1) Behavioral skills - Interpersonal skills - Active listening - Rigor - Responsiveness - Adaptability
