We are seeking a Preconstruction Services Coordinator / Estimator to join the onsite team in Shreveport, Louisiana. What You'll Do as the Preconstruction Services Coordinator / Estimator:
- Support commercial projects throughout the preconstruction process
- Conduct pre-bid site visits and gather information needed to develop project scopes
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimates
- Solicit pricing from subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers
- Coordinate subcontractor walkthroughs and pre-bid meetings
- Compare bids and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and pricing differences
- Prepare proposals, bid packages, and supporting documentation
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and construction logistics
- Mark up drawings and organize preconstruction information
- Prepare submittals, product data, and material samples
- Maintain organized project records, files, and bid documentation
- Coordinate with Project Managers, field leaders, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Provide field support during project planning and construction when needed
- Assist Project Managers with subcontract processing and material orders
- Support RFIs, permits, change orders, and general project documentation
- Help ensure a smooth handoff from preconstruction to field operations
Must-Haves as the Preconstruction Services Coordinator / Estimator:
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent commercial construction experience
- Foundational understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Construction takeoff experience through employment, internships, co-ops, or coursework
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Coachable, dependable, and eager to learn
- Valid driver's license

- 2 or more years of commercial construction experience
- Commercial estimating experience

- Internship or co-op experience with a commercial contractor
