Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fire, security, and life safety system projects from start to finish. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with codes, safety standards, and customer expectations. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, driving communication, resource allocation, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Plan, schedule, and manage fire and security system installation projects.
• 
  Coordinate with sales, engineering, operations, and field teams to ensure project scope is executed accurately.
• 
  Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to keep projects on track.
• 
  Communicate project status, issues, and updates with clients and contractors.
• 
  Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, submittals, and reports.
• 
  Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, OSHA guidelines, and local building/fire codes.
• 
  Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality work and timely delivery.
• 
  Resolve project-related issues promptly to minimize delays or cost overruns.
• 
  Conduct project closeout meetings and ensure all required documentation is submitted.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Education & Experience

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• 
  3–5 years of experience managing projects in fire, security, or construction industries.
• 
  Knowledge of fire alarm, security, and life safety systems preferred.
• 
  Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgets, and resource management.
• 
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and ERP platforms (e.g., FieldHub).
• 
  PMP or NICET certification a plus.
