As a Project Manager, you'll take ownership of regulated power projects from inception through to completion, ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery across complex electricity network programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-profile projects within a growing power division, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver infrastructure that plays a vital role in the UK's energy transition. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of regulated power projects across transmission and distribution networks.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, commercial, and operational functions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor project performance, managing risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee procurement activities, subcontractor performance, and contract administration processes.
  • Manage project reporting, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Support commissioning, energisation, handover, and project close-out activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice across project delivery teams.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential

  • Degree qualified, or equivalent experience, in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven project management experience within power, utilities, energy, infrastructure, or construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulated electricity networks, including transmission and distribution systems.
  • Experience delivering projects involving substations, HV, or EHV infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience administering NEC contracts or similar contract arrangements.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Professional qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Bonus if you have experience delivering projects on National Grid or DNO frameworks.
  • It would be great if you have a background in electrical engineering or infrastructure construction delivery.
  • It would be great if you've managed major infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholders and complex interfaces.
  • Experience leading commissioning and energisation activities would be advantageous.
