This position is part of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, & Planning and reports directly to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness.

Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.

Job Summary:

The University of Mississippi seeks a Program Manager to support the university's commitment to continual improvement and accreditation responsibilities. The Program Manager will help advance a comprehensive, sustainable approach to assessment by working with faculty, staff, and administrators to develop meaningful outcomes and measures of success, collect and interpret assessment results, and use those results to inform improvements in teaching, learning, programs, and services. The position will support the coordination of campus-wide assessment processes and reporting, provide guidance and training to those engaged in assessment, and help ensure that assessment information is effectively documented, communicated, and used to support institutional decision-making and accreditation.

Job Description:

• Coordinate institutional assessment timelines, communications, submissions, and follow-up across academic and administrative units.
• Provide consultation and technical assistance to assessment report writers, liaisons, faculty, staff, and administrators regarding assessment processes, documentation, reporting expectations, and best practices.
• Assist academic and administrative units in developing meaningful outcomes, measures of success, assessment plans, and strategies for using assessment results to support continuous improvement.
• Develop and deliver workshops, office hours, and other educational programming related to assessment, planning, assessment best practices, and assessment-management software.
• Coordinate the implementation, maintenance, and effective use of the university’s assessment and planning system; develop user guidance, templates, and process documentation.
• Collect, organize, review, and summarize assessment/planning data and reports; assist with the preparation of institutional assessment/planning reports and other required submissions.
• Analyze assessment results and other relevant data to identify trends, support interpretation, and help stakeholders use findings to inform improvement.
• Support program review, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness activities through evidence collection, documentation, deadline tracking, and preparation of status reports.
• Serve as a resource to faculty, administrators, and staff on assessment and accreditation policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in the juried review of student work and other special projects designed to evaluate and improve student learning and/or university services.
• Contribute to the university’s decennial reaccreditation activities, including data collection, evidence development, report preparation, and other assigned projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field.
• Experience with assessment, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, or strategic planning, or program review in higher education.
• Teaching and/or tutoring experience.
