LMT is looking for an experienced professional to lead the technical scope, integration activities, and technical representation of LMT in European Defence Fund projects related to communications technologies.

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with knowledge and experience in complex systems engineering and the integration of various subsystems within the communications and defence technology domains. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mobile network architecture and the ability to integrate LMT communication solutions with consortium partner platforms, including unmanned systems, sensors, command and control (C2) systems, and electronic warfare solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the technical and functional execution of European Defence Fund (EDF) projects, acting as the Technical Lead. You will define LMT's technical scope, coordinate technical interfaces with project partners, manage integration and testing activities, and represent LMT in consortium technical meetings.

• Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between LMT subsystems and partner systems.

• Plan and coordinate the work of international technical teams, bringing together specialists from different companies and countries.

• Plan and lead integration and testing activities, including laboratory integration, field trials, and participation in military exercises.

• Ensure effective communication and information flow between LMT experts, project management, and end users involved in the project.

• Be responsible for the quality of the solution within the projects assigned to you.

• In cooperation with the Project Coordinator, prepare technical project deliverables for submission to the European Commission.

• Communicate proactively with international project partners to ensure the development of solutions aligned with project objectives and to address potential challenges in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Higher education degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Knowledge of networking and mobile communication technologies (IP networks, 4G/5G architecture, spectrum fundamentals) and the ability to apply this knowledge to tactical and deployable communication solutions will be considered an advantage.

• Experience in defining and coordinating technical interfaces, including protocols, APIs, data transmission channels, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs), is desirable.

• Experience leading international teams.

• Professional experience in engineering, including systems integration.

• Previous experience in testing and quality assurance.

• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and confidently represent and defend LMT's technical position in an international environment.

• Compliance with the requirements set out in Article 9 of the Latvian Law on State Secrets.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, for cooperation with international partners.

• Willingness to travel for business within Europe.

• Understanding of and/or experience with defence technologies would be considered an advantage.
