Our Sydney CBD Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team is seeking a proactive and adaptable Property Accountant to join the team and work alongside market leading property management professionals. This role is an integral part of the function, providing the property managers accounting support and management of the REMS trust accounts.
- Prepare month end financials and reporting for properties, ensuring timely delivery of reports to property managers, owners and Trust accounting function as required, including accruals, prepayments and analysing variances.
- Reconcile trust bank accounts.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving issues, reconciling financial data to ensure accurate with timely reporting to clients and management.
- Prepare amortisation journal and schedule for lease incentives.
- Action take on balance for new management.
- Assist property managers to prepare outgoings reconciliations and annual budgets.
- Work closely with AP and AR team to ensure processing is accurate and assist with queries.
Qualifications
The skills and experience you will bring to this role include:
- 2+ years working in a similar role, ideally within the Real Estate or Property sector.
- University Degree qualified and either 1-2 years CA or CPA qualification.
- Knowledge of MRI software preferable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, as well as time management and multitasking skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
