We are currently seeking an experienced, professional, and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing organization. Flexible hours are provided with the need of some evening hours, in-person and telehealth sessions. This position will work in collaboration with our Psychiatrist on staff. Our mental health clinic is located at 33 W 60th St 6th floor New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations for all Athena clients (children and adults)
  • Conduct ongoing medication management when needed
  • Complete all required documentation by a given deadline and in compliance with program and state regulations
  • Ensures all clinical notes and client information are updated and accurate within the current EHR system
  • Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention when needed
  • Work in collaboration with administrative staff to ensure client needs are successfully met
  • Ability to commute between sites when needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish prefered
  • Must be certified with the Drug Enforcement Administration in order to prescribe medication to clients
  • Must be licensed in New York State
  • Experience working with Medicaid/Medicare Clients is a plus
  • Must be passionate about working with underserved communities and possess a high level of engagement, entrepreneurial, and interpersonal skills
