The Division of Psychiatry and Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences atMontefioreMedical Centerand Albert Einstein College of Medicine,is seekingup totwo full-timeacademic Psychiatristsfor its Inpatient Consultation Liaison Service on its Moses Campusandafull-time academic psychiatrist to join our world-renowned Abdominal Transplant Service.

The Consultation LiaisonPsychiatryservice at Moses is a busyand innovativeconsultation and teaching service which continues toexpand to meet the mental health and addictions treatment needs ofthe medical center. Thetwo new fulltime Consultation Liaisonacademic attendings willjoin our existing multidisciplinary team of four and 1/2 psychiatrist ConsultationLiaisonPsychiatrists, two Transplant Psychiatrist, three psychologists, and a social worker. The Consultation Psychiatrists will be responsible for direct care in-patient consultation patient care consults and the supervision trainees’ consults, division, and departmental activities.

The Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist position follows a collaborative care. The new Psychiatrist shares all the resource of a busy transplant center. This includes excellent administrative staff, six social workers, pharmacist, psychologists, care coordinators, nutritionist, and doctors from various disciplines. While the Psychiatrist is imbedded in the Transplant Center, they are very much part of the Consultation Liaison Team.

As a team we participate in the education and training of many different learnersincluding medical students, Psychiatry and Neurology Residents, Consultation Liaisonand Addiction Fellows,and Psychology Interns.

The Moses campus hospital is a 750-bed tertiary care, referral hospital with a wide range of services. Eligible applicants are board certified or eligible in psychiatry. Additional training in ConsultationLiaisonPsychiatryand/or AddictionsPsychiatry ishighlyencouraged but not required.
