Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop operations, including teardown, inspection, repair, and assembly of pumping units
- Manage and lead shop personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and industry standards
- Diagnose mechanical issues and provide direction on repairs and rebuilds
- Maintain quality control standards on all outgoing equipment
- Coordinate with field operations, management, and parts/vendors as needed
- Monitor shop productivity, labor hours, and job costs
- Ensure proper documentation of work orders, inspections, and repairs
- Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and equipment readiness
- 5+ years of experience working with pumping units (Lufkin, Weatherford, etc.)
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in teardown and rebuilds
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Basic computer skills for reporting and work order management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work around heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license
