What You'll Be Doing
- Execute testing and validation activities across PC and cloud gaming platforms
- Perform system-level testing on Windows-based hardware and software environments
- Identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document defects with clear and detailed bug reports
- Analyze logs, system behavior, and test results to support root-cause investigations
- Validate software, drivers, firmware, and platform functionality
- Review test plans and contribute to test automation efforts where applicable
- Create and distribute test reports to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality and user experience
What We Need to See
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of experience in QA, validation, testing, or a related engineering role
- Strong experience working within Windows operating system environments
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues at the system level
- Experience testing device drivers, firmware, or platform-level functionality
- Proficiency with scripting or automation using Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Passion for product quality and finding hard-to-reproduce issues
- Experience with Windows debugging tools and log analysis (WinDbg)
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with hardware validation, platform testing, or PC system integration
- Knowledge of GPU technologies, graphics systems, or gaming platforms
- Experience supporting automation frameworks and test infrastructure
- Exposure to AI-assisted development, debugging, or test workflows
Engagement Overview
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite 5 days per week)
Duration: 6-month W-2 contract through Sustainable Talent
Pay Rate: $55–$75/hour, depending on experience, education, skills, and location
