About the role

This position is perfect for someone with proven testing experience who’s ready to step up and take broader ownership within the QA function.

As a QA Tester, you’ll be embedded within our game development teams, ensuring that new features, builds, and updates are delivered to the highest standards. You’ll act as a critical gatekeeper of quality, catching issues early, giving structured feedback, and working collaboratively across departments to improve player experience.


This position is offered on a fixed-term contract of 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on future project requirements.


Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with developers, designers, and producers to verify builds and features across game projects.
  • Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test plans.
  • Execute manual testing, raise well-documented bug reports, and track issues through resolution.
  • Proactively monitor project timelines and escalate risks to Production as needed.
  • Attend stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to represent QA concerns and priorities.
  • Support build verification for internal milestones and external releases.


Education and experience:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in QA within the video games industry, ideally with mobile titles.
  • Familiarity with the full game development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of free-to-play mechanics and player-centric design principles.


Technical skills:


  • Ability to scope, estimate, and prioritise QA tasks in alignment with development goals.
  • Comfortable using test management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA, TestMo.
  • Ability to create and read documentation using Confluence.
  • Basic familiarity with game engines (Unity), version control systems (P4, Git), and mobile platform tools (App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
  • Sharp attention to detail and the ability to identify both functional and gameplay-related issues.

Interpersonal skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Organised, methodical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the QA team
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback across disciplines.
  • Passionate about games and driven to deliver great player experiences.
  • Naturally curious, analytical, and eager to improve processes and outcomes.
