Purpose of the Role:
- Support Quality Control activities, including product inspection, testing, and data analysis, to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Assist with the development, documentation, and maintenance of standardized quality inspection processes, laboratory practices, and measuring equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, quality investigations, and Quality Management System (QMS) activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and commitment to workplace health and safety.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous co-op, internship, laboratory, manufacturing, or quality control experience.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, Lean methodologies, or continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, or inspection data.
What Success looks like in this role:
- Conduct accurate product inspections and testing, document findings, and help ensure products meet quality standards.
- Collect and analyze quality data, prepare test samples, and support the maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment.
- Contribute to quality investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, follow health and safety procedures, and collaborate effectively across teams.
