About this role
• Act as the Centre of Excellence providing expert support to project delivery teams in all aspects of quantity surveying, including measurement and pricing.
• Ensure that quantity surveying services adhere to established standards and align with international industry best practices.
• Serve as the key escalation point for complex technical quantity surveying issues.
• Provide functional oversight and guidance to in-house Quantity Surveyors, particularly those specializing in Furniture and Equipment (F&E).
• Review and approve cost submissions from Project Management Consultants (PMC) and outsourced consultants.
• Assess and approve costing for value engineering proposals to optimize project costs.
• Provide technical approval on contract variations related to measurement and cost in coordination with Administration & Procurement (A&P) teams.
• Approve interim payment certificates, ensuring compliance and coordination with A&P.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying within engineering and construction environments.
Skills
- Project management and quality control expertise.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proficient in risk, opportunity, and issue management.
- Knowledge of building and infrastructure maintenance.
- Strong experience in procurement and contract management.
- Competency in budgeting, cost control, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Capability in performance monitoring and management.
