Key Roles & Responsibilities: What are the core elements of the job duties, the primary day-to-day responsibilities & activities

  • Review of Regulatory documents for raw materials.
  • Coordination QS or Supply Chain review of raw material documentation where required.
  • Contacting suppliers in sourcing additional raw material documents where needed to determine suitability for compliance.
  • Interpretation of US, Canadian and Mexican labeling law as it applies to raw materials.
  • Reconciles incoming documentation / information upon receipt and confirms compliance with current requirements.
  • Possess a high degree of flexibility with the ability to adjust to changing priorities quickly, have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Determining Griffith Foods’ labeling practice when confronted with duplicate raw materials and the labeling practices of the three business units.
  • Interprets and applies proper terms for Griffith Foods ingredients to create accurate raw materials.
  • Reviewing and updating raw material regulatory data (nutritional attributes, regulatory descriptors etc.) in Griffith Foods’ internal data base.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.

Functional Knowledge: Describe breadth and depth of knowledge of functional work and activities required

  • Must have an attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Interpretation of US, Canadian and Mexican labeling law as it applies to raw materials
  • Is well versed in US, Canadian and Mexican labeling procedures and labeling nuances.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on a multitude of concurrent tasks.
  • Discretion with confidential information.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Business Expertise: Describe knowledge and expertise required about the business and industry in which the business functions

  • Understanding of the RM onboarding process and the product development process (from development to production).
  • Understanding of the internal Raw Material status classifications and document requirements.

Leadership: Describe the nature of leadership required and guidance provided to others

  • Project leadership, communicating risk and priorities to the internal teams and suppliers.

Problem Solving: Describe the level of analytical thinking required to perform the job

  • Managing multiple priorities (internal and external).
  • Identifying, investigating sources and resolving conflicting information.

Impact: Describe the level of responsibility and resulting impact on the business

  • Griffith Foods North America utilizes thousands of raw materials for production of finished goods, up to date and accurate raw material documentation is required to build and maintain the OneNA Raw Material library.
  • Accuracy and expedience for documents and communication between R&D and suppliers is critical for speed to market.

Interpersonal Skills: Describe the level and type of “people skills” that are normally required to do the job

  • Meets and develops working relationships with Suppliers, Purchasing, Food Safety & Quality, R&D and Regulatory teams.
