Your intern journey

Our RBS International summer internship has been designed to give you a taste of what it’s like to work with us. You’ll get the opportunity to work on real projects, develop in-demand skills, exposure to senior colleagues and be part of a business that supports the communities we serve.

At the end of the placement, we’ll assess you on what you’ve learned. Complete this successfully and you could be offered a place on our RBS International graduate programme, where you can carry the skills you’ve learnt forward and take the next step in your career.

Over the course of this eight-week programme, you can look forward to:

• Learning about our culture, values, and goals
• Building an understanding of business areas such as Institutional Banking, International Retail, Commercial & Private Banking and the Risk & Finance businesses
• Attending training workshops and getting involved with our day-to-day work
• Exploring your capability by taking part in a business improvement project
• Developing your collaboration, creative-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Seeing first-hand how we work together as one bank to deliver an outstanding service for our customers

At the end of the placement, we'll assess you on what you've learned. Complete this successfully and you could be offered a place on our 2028 RBS International graduate programme, where you can continue building your skills and take the next step in your career.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for our RBS International summer internship, you’ll need:

• To have Jersey residential status
• To be in your penultimate year of university
• To be on course to achieving a 2:1 in your degree
• To enjoy collaborating and working as part of a team
• A customer-first approach
• A creative approach to problem solving
• A desire to play a key role in building a relationship bank that thrives in a digital world
