Real Estate Accounting / Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations for our real estate portfolio. This role requires ** hands-on experience in real estate accounting , with strong proficiency in ** QuickBooks and ** AppFolio **. The ideal candidate understands property management financials, maintains accurate records, and ensures timely and compliant reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for real estate properties
• Record and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks and ** AppFolio**
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and tenant charges
• Process rent rolls, owner statements, and property financial reports
• Reconcile bank and trust accounts
• Track security deposits and ensure compliance with regulations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking
• Coordinate with property managers, owners, and external accountants
• Support year-end closing and tax preparation

Requirements

• Proven experience in real estate accounting or bookkeeping (MUST)
• Strong working experience with QuickBooks (MUST)
• Hands-on experience using AppFolio (MUST)
• Solid understanding of property management accounting principles
• Experience handling multiple properties and accounts
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
