About The Law Firm:
An established and reputable law firm with a strong presence in real estate law is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our growing Real Estate Department. This is an immediate opening offering a dynamic work environment, professional growth opportunities, and exposure to both residential and commercial real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Review & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts for residential and commercial transactions.
- Title Review & Clearance: Conduct thorough title examinations, identify and resolve title issues, and coordinate with title companies to ensure timely clearance.
- Closings: Schedule, prepare for, and attend closings; represent buyers and sellers throughout all phases of the transaction.
- Deed Transfers & ACRIS Preparation: Prepare and file deeds and related documents via ACRIS and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lender Representation: Represent financial institutions in connection with loan transactions, including preparation of Closing Disclosures (CDs), recognition agreements, and UCC filings.
- Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients, brokers, lenders, and other involved parties to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the New York State Bar (required).
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant real estate law experience, with substantial exposure to both residential and commercial transactions.
- Strong knowledge of title, contract law, and closing procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple files efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
