Basic Purpose

The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant assists the church to accomplish its mission of making disciples and equipping those who do by creating a hospitable and safe office environment for guests, members, contractors, and staff while providing additional administrative support as needed.

Key Role

  • Provide a friendly, warm reception to guests, members, staff, and contractors calling or physically entering our facilities.
  • Aid in preparing materials for distribution (ie. Worship guides, First Time Guest Cups and Visitor Forms).
  • Assist as needed to input data as directed (i.e., attendance, spreadsheets).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Welcome Desk volunteer schedule.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct to appropriate destination.
  • Courteously screen everyone attempting to enter the building during office hours.
  • Coordinate with staff to provide messages and receive guests as directed.

Other Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly worship guides and communications for distribution.
  • Double check all small group attendance for the week to add names into attendance.
  • Run a First Time Guest report and add to First Time Guest Queues in myAspire each week.
  • Document some weekly and monthly event attendance in myAspire.
  • Assist with adding data into spreadsheets as directed.

Education & Experience

  • Background/experience with administrative functions and tasks preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
