THE ROLE

As a Recruiter – APAC, you will own end-to-end recruitment for a diverse mix of Manila-based corporate and support roles and field operations positions across Australia and New Zealand. You will partner closely with hiring managers and regional People leadership to translate workforce needs into focused sourcing strategies, run efficient selection processes, and create a clear, respectful candidate experience.

This is a hands-on role for a recruiter who enjoys moving between structured planning and fast operational execution. You will manage multiple vacancies simultaneously, use recruitment data to guide priorities, and help strengthen Indie Campers’ employer presence across APAC.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle—from intake and job advertising to sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and preboarding handover.
  • Recruit across varied job families, including Manila HQ roles and customer-facing, fleet, automotive, and branch operations positions in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, define selection criteria, agree timelines, and maintain disciplined hiring decisions.
  • Build candidate pipelines through direct sourcing, referrals, job boards, professional networks, community partnerships, and other relevant channels.
  • Conduct structured screening interviews and provide concise, evidence-based candidate recommendations.
  • Keep the applicant tracking system and recruitment trackers accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Monitor hiring performance through metrics such as pipeline conversion, time to fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and aging vacancies.
  • Deliver timely candidate communication and a consistent experience across different markets, time zones, and role levels.
  • Support employer-branding initiatives, recruitment campaigns, and talent-market mapping for recurring or hard-to-fill roles.
  • Coordinate effectively with regional leaders, local operations teams, the global People team, and external recruitment partners when needed.
  • Handle candidate data confidentially and support recruitment practices aligned with local requirements and company policies in each hiring market.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 2–3 years of hands-on recruitment experience, with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end hiring processes.
  • Experience managing several vacancies at once and working with different hiring managers, job families, or levels of seniority.
  • Strong sourcing and candidate-assessment skills, including the ability to identify transferable experience and provide well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Clear and professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with reliable follow-through on schedules, records, and stakeholder updates.
  • Confidence using applicant tracking systems, job platforms, spreadsheets, and recruitment reporting tools.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and comfort working in a fast-paced, changing international environment.
  • A collaborative, people-first mindset with sound judgment, discretion, and respect for candidate confidentiality.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Recruitment experience or working familiarity with the Australian and/or New Zealand talent markets.
  • Experience hiring automotive, fleet, campervan, rent-a-car, retail, hospitality, travel, logistics, or other high-volume front-line operations roles.
  • Exposure to both corporate or head-office recruitment and field or branch-based hiring.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse or a similar applicant tracking system.
  • Experience supporting employer branding, talent mapping, recruitment events, or agency management.
