About this role

We are looking for a Regional Optician Belgium & Amsterdam, 38 hours. You’ll work closely with our stores, Regional Managers, Recruitment team, and HQ Optical Team to support, develop, and elevate our optical teams across the region.
What our Regional Opticians do
- Be the link between HQ and stores by translating optical strategy, guidelines, and projects into clear ways of working across Belgium and Amsterdam.
- Coach and develop optical teams. Visit stores regularly to observe, support, and develop Opticians and Retail Associates through training, feedback, and hands-on coaching.
- Keep quality and compliance sharp by auditing optical processes, reviewing customer journeys, ensuring dispensing standards are followed, and maintaining high clinical and regulatory standards across the region.
- Support store performance. Partner with Regional Managers to identify opportunities, improve optical KPIs, increase fill rates, and drive commercial performance while maintaining excellent customer care.
- Lead optical communication. Facilitate regular touchpoints with Opticians, provide performance insights, share best practices, and act as the first point of contact for optical-related questions and support.
- Support hiring and onboarding. Partner with Recruitment and Store Managers on interviews, try-out days, onboarding, and probation reviews to help build strong optical teams.
- Drive training and development. Identify skill gaps, deliver training initiatives, and ensure colleagues have the tools and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Own operational excellence. Support stores with optical equipment maintenance, optical administration, customer escalations, and the implementation of new processes and projects.
- Deliver projects and improvements by working closely with the HQ Optical Team on new services, training content, and initiatives that continuously raise the bar across the region.
You have
- Qualified Optician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in retail optics and a strong understanding of dispensing, customer care, and store operations.
- Experienced in high-volume environments and confident balancing customer experience with commercial performance.
- Commercially minded, people-first leader who coaches teams with clarity, empathy, and accountability.
- Strong communicator and relationship builder who can influence, support, and develop colleagues across multiple locations.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Well-positioned to support the region, ideally based in the Antwerp area or another central location that allows for regular travel across Belgium and Amsterdam.
- Strong communication skills across languages, with fluency in Dutch and English. French is considered a plus.
