Job Description
We are looking for a patient-focused dental hygienist to join our private group practice alongside Dr. Jacci Belter. Ideally, this is a full-time position working Monday- Thursday, though we would consider part-time roles as well. Duties
- Provide preventive dental care, including prophys, examining patients for signs of oral diseases, and taking X-rays.
- Perform periodontal treatments, including scaling and root planing.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate in creating and maintaining treatment plans for patients.
- Keep detailed, accurate patient records and notes and ensure timely follow-up.
- Stay updated with the latest dental practices and technologies to continually improve patient care.
- Ensure proper infection control procedures are followed.
- Establish trust and form positive relationships to ensure patients feel at ease.
Skills
- Valid dental hygienist license in Wisconsin (required).
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Comfortable with digital dental technologies, including X-ray systems and electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of Open Dental Software is a plus!
