What You’ll Do
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian (RD) will work with a multidisciplinary team atSuvidaHealthcare to assess the nutritional needs of our patients and improve nutrition equity in our neighborhoods. This role is integrated into the care model ofSuvidaand requiresexpertisein working with patients with multiple chronic conditions. This clinician will work across the care spectrum from prevention to treatmentutilizingthe best technology and tools to provide high-quality andequitablenutrition care for our patients.
The RD willparticipateinSuvida’slifestyle medicine program which includes manyfoodas medicineinterventions like culinary medicine and food prescriptions. You will work withSuvida’sleadership and care team to develop and implement culturally relevant care programs that address social determinants of health, improve patient outcomes, and increase patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutrition counseling rooted in deep cultural humility and inclusivity to support the individualized nutritional care plans forSuvidapatients.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team and community-based organizations to address nutrition insecurity and other related social and structural determinates of health.
- Provide inclinic, virtual and home-basedindividualand group nutrition care forSuvidapatients.
- Lead culinary medicine classes and collaborate with otherSuvidaexperts to develop and deliver lifestyle medicine programming that promotesoptimalnutrition andhealth
- Assistwith the development ofSuvida’slifestyle medicine programming (culinary medicine, food RX, etc.).
- Provide interdisciplinary education and training to integrate and communicate nutrition principles that enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans,establishand maintain policies, standards, and programs foroptimal, cost-effective nutrition care forSuvida’spatients.

What You’ll Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3+ years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (adult geriatrics preferred)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)required
- Experience teaching culinary medicineclasses
- Experience working in lifestyle medicine related initiatives (culinary medicine, food RX, gardening, medically tailored meals)preferred
- Fitness and movement experiencepreferred
- Social media experiencepreferred
Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related field (Master’sdegree preferred)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Licensed Dietitian (LD) State of Texas or eligible within60 daysof hire
