Registered Nurse (RN)

Mountain Community Health Partnership is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with our pediatric provider, children, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a community health setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, immunization records, developmental screenings, and vital signs.
• Assist provider with well-child visits, sick visits, behavioral health screenings, and chronic disease management.
• Administer vaccines and medications according to provider orders and established protocols.
• Educate parents and caregivers on childhood illnesses, preventive care, nutrition, safety, and developmental milestones.
• Respond to patient and parent calls, portal messages, and clinical inquiries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with all medical providers, behavioral health providers, community providers, and school-based resources.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives.
  
• Participate in daily provider huddles and patient pre-planning activities.
• Utilize standing orders and evidence-based guidelines to support preventive pediatric healthcare.
• Coordinate referrals, testing, specialty appointments, and follow-up care.
• Help families navigate healthcare services and community resources.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current NC Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification. BSN, preferred.
• Experience: At least one year of clinical nursing experience in pediatric, family practice, or community health preferred. Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Willingness to travel between MCHP locations as needed.
