AHRC New York City is looking to hire a Per-Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for their Home Care division. This position will report to the Director of Nursing and the Associate Vice President of In-Home Programs. The Per Diem Nurse will be primarily responsible for helping meet the training needs of the license home care agency; supervise, guide, teach and evaluate HHA’s; assist in evaluating medical screenings/clearances for staff; cover HHA incidents; and advise on OSHA and other medical issues within the Department.
Schedule: 9am-5pm...21 hours per week.....Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Pay Rate: $50-$55 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Home Care Assessments for new cases and reassessments for ongoing cases
- Development of plans-of-care, coordinate with physicians for approvals
- Supervision of HHA and PCA staff in the field
- Pre-service training for HHA’s
- In-service training for HHA’s
- Participate in Quality Improvement meetings/Board Meetings
- Monitor Health assessments and medicals of HHA’s (including drug screens, Doctors notes, Hep. B vaccinations, etc.)
- Conduct Clinical Competency/Skills of HHA’s
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed RN in New York State.
- Experience with the IDD population, preferred.
- Experience as HHA, preferred.
- Experience with Staff Training, preferred.
