Essential Responsibilities

Your Day-to-Day

As a Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, surgery, and dentistry
• Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weights
• Educate clients about their pets' care and treatment plans
• Prepare, anesthetize, and monitor surgical patients
• Perform laboratory testing and collect diagnostic samples
• Take diagnostic radiographs
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Provide excellent patient nursing and monitoring
• Assist with acupuncture and laser therapy
• Safely handle and restrain patients
• Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and team members
• Help create a positive experience for every patient and client

Requirements/Qualifications

• State license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in state of desired employment
• Experience with Ezyvet software preferred
• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred; proficiency in anesthesia monitoring preferred
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
• Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety

USD $24.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
