Wealth Management is responsible for the strategic management and profitable growth of our premier wealth management and (U)HNW) client portfolio.
As Director | Senior Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for meeting agreed sales, AUM, and revenue targets. In this senior capacity, you will cultivate deep, long-term client relationships, generate sophisticated market and product insights, and proactively capture new market opportunities.
Operating with a high degree of entrepreneurial autonomy, delivering comprehensive asset allocation strategies and complex financial solutions by leveraging the bank’s global network, products, and cross-divisional capabilities. You will also serve as a key contributor to the team’s overall strategy and mentor junior professionals to foster a culture of high performance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development & Acquisition: Proactively build UHNW client relationships and actively lead client acquisition by cultivating a robust, active network of professional intermediaries and referral multipliers, converting prospect lists, and expanding the bank's Wealth Management footprint.
Strategic Portfolio Management: Take overall responsibility for the profitability, growth, and long-term loyalty of the customer portfolio.
Bespoke Client Advisory: Address complex client needs through the sophisticated application of various bank products, tailored asset allocation strategies, structured lending, and private market investments in close collaboration with Investment Managers and product specialists.
Cross-Divisional Orchestration: Collaborate across the bank's global ecosystem (Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Asset Management) to deliver integrated corporate advisory, capital structuring, and holistic institutional solutions to private clients and Family Offices.
Client Experience & Service Quality: Assure elite service quality, absolute client satisfaction, and long-term customer loyalty. Coordinate client service, operations, and support teams to ensure flawless, end-to-end client and product delivery.
Active Risk Management & Compliance: Act as the first line of defense by maintaining high risk awareness, updating Know Your Client (KYC) documentation, managing client suitability profiles, and operating in strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal Bank policies.
Macro & Market Communication: Coordinate the development of tailored financial strategies based on comprehensive analysis of global macroeconomic trends, local market conditions, and individual client risk profiles. Regularly update clients on markets, portfolio performance, and investment risks.
Leadership & coaching: Provide coaching and support to enhance the professional development of junior relationship managers, analysts, and associates within the team.
Skills:
Academic Credentials: University degree (Bachelor’s or Master's degree) in Finance, Business Economics, or a related discipline from a leading institution.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of proven, successful experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management dealing directly with (Ultra) High-Net-Worth individuals and Family Offices.
Track Record of Success: Exceptional sales strength, goal orientation, and a proven history of meeting or exceeding aggressive revenue, AUM, and self-sourced business targets.
Regulatory & Market Knowledge: Comprehensive working knowledge of the local financial center's regulatory and control environment, relevant financial instruments, and compliance policies.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; highly developed interpersonal skills to build trust with sophisticated clients and internal stakeholders.
Operational Attributes: High readiness of mind, proactive attitude, clear structured working methods, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Mobility: Willingness to travel regionally to support client relationships.
Language Proficiency: Excellent command of Dutch and English is required. Fluency in additional European languages (e.g., German, French) is highly preferred and acts as a strong differentiator.
