Research Fellow (Cybersecurity / Computer Science / Information Security / Electronic or Communication Engineering)

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is ranked among the world’s top universities. We are seeking s seeking a Research Fellow to conduct research on LLM agent safety and secure authentication. The role involves developing runtime monitoring and behavioural evaluation techniques for LLM agents, and investigating secure and usable authentication for intelligent devices.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop monitoring methods to detect malicious skill execution and unsafe or misaligned agent behaviour.
• Design experiments and prototypes to evaluate agent safety, task performance and monitoring overhead.
• Investigate biometric authentication for smartphones and wearable devices and evaluate security and usability.
• Analyse findings, prepare publications and project reports, as well as, collaborate with the research team.

Job Requirements

• PhD in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Electronic or Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Research background in LLM agent safety, runtime monitoring, biometric authentication or intelligent-device security.
• Familiarity with LLM agents and ability to implement prototypes and conduct rigorous experiments.
• Experience in biometric sensing or acoustic signal analysis would be an advantage.
