Classification: Full Time / Part Time Seasonal

(must be available to work any shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Compensation: $17.85 per hour.

Opportunity to collect gratuities based on exceptional service.

Summary & Position Overview:

Join our dynamic restaurant team at MaraHills Golf Resort, a vibrant and popular dining destination, known for renowned for its excellent cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Overlooking beautiful Mara Lake, in the summer paradise of Sicamous BC, our mission is to deliver a memorable dining experience to our members and guests. We take pride in our innovative menu offerings, handcrafted cocktails, and inviting environment.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Restaurant Server. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will have the opportunity to deliver outstanding service to our guests while also showcasing your cocktail creation skills behind the bar. Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

• Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items and drink selections

• Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, wines, and other beverages

• Ensure that all drinks are made to our established recipes and presentation standards

• Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or special requests

• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders

• Ensure that all food and drink items are rung in accurately and payments are processed according to our company standards

• Ensure that restaurant reservations are recorded thoroughly and accurately

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and bar, including clearing and sanitizing tables, stocking supplies and cleaning glassware and smallware

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server and or bartender in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including wine and cocktail preparation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and work with composure under pressure

• Serving it Right certification

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

• To serve alcohol in BC you must be 19 years of age
