We are seeking a Retail Assistant to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the Food & Beverage Function within our organisation. Main Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding guest service by greeting and acknowledging every guest promptly and professionally at all times.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond efficiently to inquiries, and resolve complaints to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Maintain positive guest relations while wearing a friendly, welcoming demeanor as part of the role.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately, processing sales, payments, and merchandise transactions.
- Sell, merchandise, and restock retail items, ensuring floor stock is fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all assigned work areas, including food service and deli sections.
- Operate food service and deli areas in accordance with hygiene, safety, and service standards.
- Conduct stock takes when required and assist with inventory control.
- Communicate customer requests, operational needs, and relevant information to supervisors and team members.
- Maintain full knowledge of departmental policies, hotel services, features, and local attractions to assist guests accurately.
- Properly use and care for all equipment, ensuring correct operation and maintenance.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks following recipes and quality standards.
- Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing duties.
- Work collaboratively with team members while performing duties with minimal supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience and knowledge of coffee preparations would be considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Proven ability to process transactions accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to input and retrieve information using POS systems and computers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team and independently when required.
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements related to guest and hotel information.
- Ability to follow instructions thoroughly and adhere to company policies and procedures.
