Your Job:
As a Retail Sales Associate at Brooks, you play a critical role in delivering the premium shopping experience retail customers expect. You bring energy, product knowledge, and outstanding service to every interaction – helping retail customers feel welcome, supported, and confident in their product selections. You support retail store operations through merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining an organized retail sales floor. You are a storyteller, problem solver, and brand ambassador that helps make every visit the best part of the customer’s day.
Your Responsibilities:
•Deliver premium personalized customer service through active listening, behavioral awareness, storytelling, and expert product education for customers of all athletic abilities.
•Develop a strong understanding of runners and those aspiring to be active, to build authentic relationships with our customers.
•Guide customers in selecting the right footwear, apparel, and accessories; support fitting and gait analysis service as trained.
•Recognize appropriate opportunities to understand and solve for secondary customer needs.
•Stay up to date on all product technologies, features, and benefits.
•Be a fit expert by becoming proficient in the Brooks fit process for footwear, apparel, and bras.
•Maintain readiness through daily merchandising, cleaning (including floors, bathrooms, etc.), organization, and sales floor stock replenishment.
•Participate in inventory processes, including receiving, counting, and stocking back-of-house inventory.
•Accurately perform POS transactions.
•Support store events and activations as needed.
•Communicate effectively with store leadership and teammates to support store goals.
•Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and contribute to a positive team culture.
•Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.
Qualifications:
•Availability to work two to three shifts a week, including evenings and weekends
•Moderate computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new computer programs
•Accurate POS and inventory counting abilities
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
•Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company and with customers
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
•Keen attention to detail in executing tasks while understanding broader store and business needs
•Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community
