Risk Analyst

As a Risk Analyst you will be part of the Payments team, you will conduct detailed reviews of businesses, assess risk, ensure compliance, and make critical decisions on risk acceptance. Your expertise will safeguard financial transfers while ensuring that Wix users are able to safely accept payments online. We use cutting-edge technology to protect all of our customers and we're expanding our online financial services worldwide.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Conduct manual, automatic, semi-automatic, and AI-powered reviews of business models and processing , assess exposure, and calculate potential loss.
• Decide on risk acceptance or account termination — make merchant approval/rejection decisions, including setting rolling/fixed reserves and payout restrictions
• Assess merchants' compliance, fraud and financial risks
• Monitor merchant’s business models, transactions and merchant behavior for volume spikes, refund anomalies, bust-out patterns, and chargeback risk; configure compliance, fraud/risk rules 
• Perform complex investigations to minimize losses

Work model: fully in-person, 5 days a week from the office. Flexibility remains a core Wix value, and special requests are handled at the team level.

Qualifications

You are:

• An analyst with 4+ years of experience in hands-on compliance, risk evaluation, fraud detection or underwriting. 
• You know card scheme rules and the financial transaction lifecycle, from authorization to chargeback. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hate wasting time, and are obsessive about optimizing your and your team's workflows. 
• Communicate clearly in written and spoken English. 
• Familiar with AI tools for completing daily tasks.

Nice to have: SQL and enhanced Excel skills (such as pivot tables, statistical package, macros)
