About Risk Services

Our Risk Services Practice provides an invaluable safeguard in today’s complex operating environment with insights and independent assurance. We work with clients to deliver business control to help them to protect and strengthen every aspect of their business from people to performance, systems to strategy, business plans to business resilience. We help clients manage, mitigate and control risks from potential cybersecurity breaches to possible breaks in the supply chain. We assess and prepare businesses by looking into their technology, finance, data analytics, regulatory requirements, data security and privacy, internal audit, and the third parties our clients rely on, to help clients deliver quality results and meet their strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

As an Intern within RAIS, you will collaborate with experienced problem-solvers and subject matter experts to tackle intricate business challenges from strategy through execution. Your contributions will be essential to delivering impactful solutions for our clients, spanning the spectrum of AI and data-related services. Key responsibilities and skillsets include:

• Foundational Knowledge of Technology:Demonstratesa foundational knowledge of technology concepts and applications and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems.

• Problem Solving and Analytical Skills:Utilizeanalytical skills to tackle complex business challenges, interpret data, and offer strategic recommendations that drive informed decisions.

• Client Relationship Management:Build andmaintainstrong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor bydemonstratinga deep understanding of client needs.

• Team Collaboration:Collaborate effectively within diverse teams and with external stakeholders.

• Communication Skills:Demonstrateclear and persuasive communication, articulatingideasand insights effectively to ensure understanding by clients and team members.

• Professionalism and Integrity:Upholdhigh standardsof professional conduct anddemonstrateintegrity in all interactions.

What we are looking for

• Fresh graduates with a bachelor's or master's degree in analytically and quantitatively rigorous disciplines, such as Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or Software Engineering.

• Demonstrated passion for technology, with experience in the following domains:

• Foundational Cloud Platforms Proficiency:Demonstratesknowledge and practical experience with foundational platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Programming Skills:Possessesa solid understanding of programming, with practical experience in SQL, Python, and R.

• DataVisualisationSkills:Possessesfoundational knowledge in data storytelling and visualization using tools like Power BI and Tableau.

• Requirement Translation and Technical Logic Design:Translate client needs into actionable technical solutions, bridging business challenges with structured technical implementation.​

Data:Demonstratesa foundational understanding of data structures, database systems, and data processing techniques. Desired skills include:

• Database, Datawarehouse andData lakemanagement and tools such as: SSMS, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Elasticsearch, Neo4J and MongoDB.

• Data architecture design and assessment (e.g.patterns to handle batch ingestion, near-real-time ingestion, event streaming, Pub/Sub models)

• Data modelling techniques for dimensional data models and conceptual-logical-physical models

• Data integration and management, through usage of ETL and API management tools such as: Informatica, AWS Glue, Apigee, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway and Postman.

• Data quality and data governance concepts, and tools such as: Informatica Data Quality, SAP Data Quality Management, Collibra, Alation,Purviewand Informatica.

AI:Possessesknowledge and practical experience applying Automation, Analytics,AIand GenAI to solve business problems. Desired skills include:

• Experience and enthusiasm designing and executing projects thatleverageAutomation, Analytics,AIand GenAI to resolve business challenges

• Conceptual understanding of AI concepts (e.g., tree-based models, transformersetc), ability to explain such concepts to business stakeholders and translate them into business impacts

• Awareness of evolving technologies and methodologies in AI and familiarity with modern data science development tools

• Ability toidentifya variety of risks (ethical, modeletc) posed by the usage of AI systems
