RN Coord Clinical Cath Lab - FT - 1st Shift

Overview

Executes appropriate patient care activities by assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Coordinating responsibilities are expected in respect to organizing and maintaining daily scheduled activities involving clinical decisions and physician/staff interactions. Functions as a working technologist as required. Assists the department manager with clinical and supervisory aspects of the department.

Qualifications

Education Required: High School diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License, Certification and/or Registration: Current Alabama nursing license required. BLS/ACLS certification within 90 days of hire required.

Experience: 5 years of experience in diagnostic/interventional cath lab required. Cardiovascular or special procedures and supervisory scheduling experience preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities:Ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic work environment related to changing the daily work schedules, emergency and on call procedures. Work with all patients with acute, chronic and complex cardiac disease. Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures. Ability to manage daily assignments of cath lab staff. Assists in clinical orientations, training, and evaluation of employees. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
