  • Unit Details:

  • Must be okay with floating to tele/tele MS/MS. Fast paced units that need clinicians who can work independently.

  • Ratios: 3-4:1 IMCU and 5-6:1 Tele-M/S with PCT assistance.

  • Drips & stable vents

  • No vasopressors required

  • Charting: Cerner

  • Pay Package: Estimated $2,000/week (including stipend)

  • Must live 80+ miles from facility

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patient conditions in the PCU.
  • Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about health management and recovery processes.
  • Document patient care activities and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
  • Manage equipment and supplies necessary for patient care in the PCU.
  • Respond to patient emergencies and provide immediate intervention as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of practice.
  • Proven experience in a critical care or PCU setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patient care standards and safety protocols.
  • Cerner charting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
