Rossie Trustees - Voluntary Positions
AI Summary
Rossie Trustees are being appointed to join the Board, providing strategic oversight, governance, and independent challenge to support the long-term sustainability and direction of the organisation’s secure care services for vulnerable young people.
About this role
Rossie is one of Scotland’s longest-established providers of children’s services and one of only four secure care providers in Scotland. The organisation supports vulnerable young people through integrated residential care, education, health, and therapeutic services within a safe and trauma-informed environment.
We are now looking to appoint new Trustees to join the Board at a significant time for both Rossie and the wider secure care sector in Scotland. Legislative reform, evolving care models, and changes across the sector are creating an opportunity to help shape the future of care provision for some of Scotland’s most vulnerable young people.
As a Trustee, you will work collaboratively with fellow Board members and the Executive team to support Rossie’s long-term sustainability, governance, and strategic direction, while contributing independent insight and constructive challenge.
We are particularly interested in candidates with senior-level experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Commercial Strategy and Organisational Development
• Regulated Services, Governance, and Compliance
• Capital Projects, Estates, or Infrastructure
• Mental Health, Wellbeing, or Clinical Governance
Beyond professional background, Rossie is looking for individuals who bring integrity, sound judgement, emotional resilience, and the confidence to contribute constructively within a complex and highly regulated environment. Previous Trustee experience is welcomed but not essential.
This is a significant opportunity to contribute to the future direction of an organisation supporting some of Scotland’s most vulnerable young people.
Closing Date: Friday 3rd July
