Rough Carpenter

Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Rough Carpenters to join our team on residential and multifamily construction projects in Alameda, CA. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with rough framing and residential construction and takes pride in producing quality work safely and efficiently.

We are looking for dependable, hardworking carpenters who are ready to get to work and contribute to a strong crew.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough carpentry and framing work on residential and multifamily construction projects
• Read and interpret construction plans and layouts
• Perform wall, floor, roof, and structural framing
• Measure, cut, and install lumber and other building materials
• Assist with layout, blocking, sheathing, and other framing tasks
• Safely operate common hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and supervisor direction
• Work efficiently as part of a construction crew
• Complete work with attention to quality, accuracy, and detail

Requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Rough Carpenter or Carpenter in residential construction
• Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of rough framing and general carpentry
• Ability to read basic plans and measurements
• Must have your own basic carpentry tools
• Must have required PPE, including hard hat, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses, and work gloves
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Great work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to take direction and work well with a crew
