Office role;  This can be NY or SF or DC hubs with onsite being hybrid or flex.

As a Safeguards Access Operations Specialist, you'll help run the programs that decide which organizations get access to Anthropic's most capable models and features, and keep that access appropriate over time. You'll review applications, provision and remove access, monitor participating organizations for misuse, and handle the communications that go with each decision. These programs are new, high-stakes, and evolving quickly, so the work rewards precision, sound judgment, and comfort applying detailed rules that change often.
Important context: this position may involve exposure to sensitive content, including material related to cybersecurity misuse and other high-risk domains.

Responsibilities: Review applications and eligibility for trusted and special access programs against established criteria, verifying organizational identity, stated use cases, and account history, with a documented rationale for each decision. Provision, suspend, and revoke access per program runbooks, keeping case records complete and current the same day. Monitor admitted organizations for policy violations, compromised credentials, and out-of-scope activity, escalating with supporting evidence. Process exemption and data-handling requests requiring manual review. Draft customer notices and coordinate with account teams on approvals, violations, and access changes. Work disputed or misclassified eligibility decisions, gathering context to support re-review. Flag gaps between written criteria and real cases, and suggest improvements to runbooks, checklists, and tooling. Provide surge review support during program launches/expansions and report on queue volume, turnaround, and outcomes.
 

Qualifications

•  2+ years in trust & safety, fraud, risk, compliance, or KYC/KYB (or another decision-against-written-policy ops role)
• Can hold many detailed, evolving program rules and apply them consistently
• Write clear decision rationales and customer-facing comms
•  Keep meticulous, audit-ready records
• Know when to escalate and do so with a crisp summary; adapt quickly to new/revised processes
• Work well independently and cross-functionally with policy, enforcement, engineering, and sales
• Have genuine interest in AI safety.

Bonus:

• Cybersecurity background (security ops, threat intel, vuln research) strong enough to judge whether a security use case is credible
• Business verification/due diligence/sanctions screening experience
• Experience running enterprise or partner access programs (onboarding/offboarding)
• Experience using AI tools to scale review workflows. (edited)
