Te kaupapa o te tūranga – About the role
This is a hands-on leadership role at the front of the store, the heartbeat of how our customers experience us every day. You'll be the right hand to the Sales Support Manager, helping lead the team across Checkouts, Customer Service, Loss Prevention and Administration, and stepping up to run the show when the Manager is away.
It's a busy, high-volume retail environment. You'll be coaching team members on the fly, problem-solving at the service desk, keeping audit and cash management tight, and making sure our customers leave happy, every time.
Hours of work:
- Tuesday – Thursday: 10:00am – 6:30pm
- Friday: 1:30pm – 10:00pm
- Saturday: 11:00am – 7:30pm
These hours are fixed and include late-night Friday and weekend trade. You'll need to be available across all five days, every week.

Qualifications
He kōrero mōu ake – About you
This isn't an entry-level role, and it's not one to learn retail in, it's a step up for someone who already knows the floor.
Ideally we are looking for someone with:
- 2–5 years of retail experience, ideally in a large-format, big-box or high-volume store environment (think supermarkets, department stores, hardware, or similar).
- Previous leadership, supervisor, keyholder, 3IC or 2IC experience, you've already led a shift, coached a team member, or run the front end during peak.
- Confidence handling cash management, escalations and customer complaints.
- Strong written and verbal communication, you can hold your own with team members, customers and managers.
- A genuine love for retail and the pace that comes with it.
