Our business is predicated on helping designers realize their vision for the built environment while being mindful of Earth’s environment. From these considerations, we engineer lighting solutions that are at once beautiful and practical, elegant and efficient.

Every aspect of building design is being challenged by energy initiatives, so we design products that consume fewer resources and are themselves highly recyclable.

We strive to maximize the good materials (aluminum) and minimize the bad (lead, mercury, plastic, paint). As a small company, the environmental impact of our products is negligible, but the impact of our beliefs need not be.

And because our aim is to unify spaces with light, not decorate them with fixtures, our lighting systems – be they ambient, display or task – are minimalist in design.

At Vode, minimalist design isn’t a slavish devotion to Cool. It is a direct and highly engineered response to the architectural marketplace. We’ve been asked for low-profile, high-performance, energy-efficient, scalable, durable luminaires.....And that’s what we make.

Reports to: Sales Support Supervisor

The purpose of this job is to give immediate and intelligent support to the Western Region Sales Manager and the local territory Vode agent in order for them to best serve the amazing architectural projects and opportunities they bring us every day.

You will have the following responsibilities in your day to day activities:

  • Supports project development, delivers quotations and accepts and processes orders in collaboration with the Western Regional Sales Manager and the local territory Vode agent.
  • Responds to customers within territory regarding quote and order status, delivery status, technical and product information.
  • Processes RMA paperwork, occasionally answers phones and fulfills other requirements as instructed by the supervisor.

  • Possess a passionate desire to respond accurately and quickly to our customer.
  • The ability to be productive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills. You are joining a small fun collaborative team.
  • Ability to communicate well to a wide variety of personalities and to equally varied situations.
  • A natural ability to understand common technical issues that arise from the projects our products are installed in. Our product is technical in nature. (don't worry, we'll train you!)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with data or order entry systems.
  • Experience in the architectural or construction industry is a plus
  • Experience with manufacturing software or QuickBooks is a plus.

Additional Information

Training

You will be trained on the specifics of Vode's lighting systems, sales management/order entry system and the construct of the lighting industry and constituents we serve.

Compensation

TBD based on experience and qualifications

Paid holidays (typically 8 per year)
