SAP PP Senior Consultant

About the role:

We are looking for experienced SAP PP and EWM Functional Consultants to join our offshore delivery center in India.

The role involves supporting end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation programs (Core Model design, rollouts, and deployments) for international clients, working remotely in close collaboration with global teams.

The consultant will act as a key contributor across all project phases, from business analysis and solution design to deployment and post-go-live support.

Main responsibilities:

Functional Expertise & Solution Design

• Lead and contribute to business requirement gathering and process analysis workshops (PP and/or EWM scope).

• Design end-to-end business processes aligned with SAP best practices and S/4HANA standards.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.

• Challenge business requirements and propose optimized, standardized solutions (fit-to-standard approach).

Configuration & Implementation

• Perform SAP customizing/configuration for PP, EWM (and integration with MM, QM, CO, SD as applicable).

• Support core model definition and ensure consistency across deployments.

• Execute system configuration, parameterization, and functional testing activities.

• Contribute to integration design across modules and with external systems.

Project Delivery & Lifecycle Contribution

Actively participate in all phases of SAP projects:

• Discover / Explore (business analysis, workshops)

• Design (functional design, blueprint, solution validation)

• Build (customizing, support to development specifications)

• Test (unit testing, integration testing, UAT support)

• Deploy (cutover preparation, go-live support)

• Run (hypercare and continuous improvement)

• Ensure deliverables are produced according to project methodology and quality standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders autonomously in an international context.

• Work closely with technical teams (ABAP, integration) to define and validate developments and interfaces.

• Coordinate with onshore teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.

• Support change management and training activities when required.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Produce high-quality functional documentation (process flows, functional specs, test scripts, training materials).

• Ensure traceability between requirements, design, and implemented solutions.

• Contribute to knowledge capitalisation and reusable assets for core model programs.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements.

• Contribute to innovation topics (automation, digital manufacturing, advanced warehousing, etc.).

• Stay up to date with SAP S/4HANA roadmap and best practices.
  

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in SAP PP and/or EWM as a functional consultant

• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA programs (preferred)

• Proven track record in end-to-end SAP implementations and/or rollouts (at least 3–5 projects)

• Solid expertise in:

1. Business process design

2. SAP customizing/configuration

3. Integration between modules (MM, QM, CO, SD, EWM)

• Experience with Core Model design and template-based deployments is a strong plus

• Ability to work in an international and offshore delivery model

• Fluent English (mandatory)

• Exposure to Agile or hybrid project methodologies
