Primary Purpose:Drives students between campuses, to sporting events and field trips, and church functions on an as needed basis. Consistently reflects God’s love in every interaction, serving as a positive influence on staff, students, and families for Christ, while fully embodying the Sunlight Way in all areas of responsibility.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

School Bus Driver

• Operate the school bussafely and courteously.
• Conductpre- and post-trip inspectionsas required by Florida law.
• Maintainstudent order and safetyduring transportation.
• Report anymechanical issues, accidents, or incidentsimmediately.
• Follow allassigned routes, schedules, and school policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a validFlorida CDLwith Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
• Maintain acurrent DOT medical certificate.
• Pass aLevel 2 background screeningas required by Florida law (§1012.465, F.S.).
• Comply withall applicable transportation safety laws, including participation inrandom drug and alcohol testingper FMCSA and Florida regulations.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent communication, organization, strong interpersonal skills.

Experience:

A minimum of three years driving a school bus required.

All employees are subject to a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
