SCCM/Endpoint Management Engineer

Overview

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an SCCM / Endpoint Management Engineer to support an enterprise Windows 11 refresh project. This role will focus on endpoint deployment, SCCM imaging, task sequence development, and troubleshooting to ensure successful operating system upgrades and device migrations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SCCM task sequences for Windows 11 imaging and deployment.

• Manage and execute Windows 11 upgrades, operating system deployments, and enterprise device refresh activities using Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).

• Troubleshoot imaging failures, task sequence errors, driver compatibility, application installations, and deployment issues.

• Configure deployment packages, boot images, task sequence variables, and operating system images.

• Support endpoint management activities, including software distribution, patching, device configuration, and deployment compliance.

• Analyze deployment logs and resolve issues to ensure successful imaging and minimize downtime.

• Coordinate with infrastructure, endpoint engineering, and support teams throughout the refresh lifecycle.

• Maintain accurate deployment documentation, asset records, and project status updates

Required Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM imaging and Windows deployment task sequences.

• Strong experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 enterprise deployments and device refresh projects.

• Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting SCCM task sequences.

• Knowledge of operating system images, drivers, application packages, and deployment troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of endpoint management, Windows configuration, and enterprise device provisioning.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex deployment issues and work in a project-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Intune, co-management, and modern endpoint management.

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and deployment automation.

• Experience with enterprise-scale Windows 11 migrations and hardware refresh initiatives.
